We imagine that if you have found your way here that you are frantically searching about for information on a diagnosis that you have recently received about a child you (or a friend or family member) just delivered or possibly are still expecting.
This is just the situation we were in about 1 year ago in April of 2004. The overall lack of information available coupled with the fact that the information we could find was so widespread and hard to find encouraged us to attempt to create a site of our own that reaches out to parents that are experiencing the same anxiety, frustration and most of all fear of the unknown.
We hope to offer an extensive compilation of facts, definitions, articles, and research updates for Trisomy9 and it’s variants in particular as that is the specific genetic abnormality that we are facing. But we also hope to give thorough easy to understand information in the entire realm of genetics as well as links to other websites dealing with other specific genetic abnormalities.
Thanks so much to all of you who have already contacted us with your stories. It has educated and uplifted us to hear about all of your experiences. And most importantly, it has given us even more information to help others.
